Unknown Czech: The Texas Rose Rustlers picked up cuttings of this beauty in Schulenburg from a lady whose grandmother brought over the original cutting from Europe in the 1800's. Much like the climbing hybrid Tea Aloha, which the bloom resembles, it flowers a rose-pink, with a deeper pink reverse. The blooms are double, cupped, large and fragrant. There is also a slight yellow shading overall, lending them a bright, sunlit appearance. At times of extreme heat or cold, the blooms are much paler with a nude-blush pink shading. The shrub is vigorous, but no climber. This one tops out at 4 - 5 feet and 3 feet across. Hardy in zones 5 - 9.
